Greetings!  And welcome to the official website of the Georgia Association of Assessing Officials.  We appreciate your taking the time to visit the site and hope you enjoy the many documents and sources of information it offers.  Our website is hosted by qPublic and managed by our Website Coordinator, Mechell Salter.  We appreciate the work they do in keeping our site current and looking good!  The purpose of the website is to serve our membership, so please contact Mechell or any member of the Executive Board with any comments or suggestions you may have, or any information you think might be worth sharing with our membership.

I am proud and honored to serve as the President of this great organization for 2012.  I have been a member since 1995 and have served on various committees and in various other capacities over those many years.  I encourage anyone who is a member to do the same.  Service to your profession and to those around you can be more rewarding than you can imagine.  Join a committee, run for an Executive Board position, attend the One-Day seminars and Summer Conference, or just make sure you’re doing everything you can to bring honor to your profession back home.  We’re all in this together, and as our Executive Director, John Scott, is fond of saying, GAAO is Stronger Working Together!

I look forward to working and serving with all of you this year.  We face many challenges, but with our motto “Education, Leadership, Cooperation” coupled with dedication and confidence we can face the challenges and the future boldly.  Please join me in making this a great year for GAAO and our profession.
